I’m looking for a compatible white led bulb replacement for the 1 Series 64000X SAL Light. It seems that the multi-colored bulb has been discontinued—do you happen to offer or know of anyone that offers a white-only version as a replacement?
If I recall, the SAL and SAM lights use MR8 and MR16 bulbs. You may be able to find an LED replacement at your local home center, but you may want to stick to the old fashioned incandescent bulbs if you want good light output. The LEDs will probably not be as bright.
Florida SunSeeker has some solutions that may work for you if you can’t find anything locally.
Ohhhhhh. 120 volts - that’s a horse of a different color.
The MR8 and MR11 LED bulbs that are available at most home centers are all 12 volts and not 120 volts. I know what I would do, but, to keep everything in your pool electrically safe, you may just want to replace the entire fixture.
I have to say that I personally prefer the old-style incandescent fixtures. You can get an LED light bulb if you really want to go that route - and the replacement bulbs should be available for a long time. Most of the manufacturers are on their 4th (or higher) generation of LED lights - who knows when they will be discontinued?
There are limited replacement options for the SAM and SAL lamps if you have the specific niche for them from Pentair. The J&J ColorSplash lights should work but check their dimensions against the niche you have to be sure they will fit.
