Hi, as a part of our home renovation, we are planning to construct a backyard pool. We had a talk with a pool construction company and they advised us to have the construction in winter as it will have the main advantage of having the pool ready for summer. I was a little bit confused about this and surfed about this. I saw an informative article [ http://www.ferraripools.com/blog/pool/5-benefits-installing-pool-winter/ ] which listed the advantages of having the pool constructed in winter, like reduced material and labor cost, better working conditions etc. What do you say? It would be nice if you can provide me with some tips on this.
Hello Thelma - Building an inground pool in the winter does have advantages. You not only save money but the pool will be ready in time for a full swim season. Most winter builds are booked in late summer. So make sure you plan ahead of time.

I live in South Florida and summer is the rainy season. Water table gets high and there are numerous delays. Personally, I would NEVER do another major landscaping project (paver driveway, etc.) in the rainy season - too much mud. That said, the pool folks have to eat all year round - I don’t think there is a cost difference.
