I have a Jandy FloPro pump model # FHPM1.5. The bearings are shot on the motor. The motor is part number O-193986-24. It is a Century Centurion 1.5 HP with a service factor of 1.1, making the total HP 1.65.
I have the pump set up on an on/off timer that is capable of being powered on full time.
I would like to go to variable speed, mainly because the energy use of the current motor is quite high. So, I have a couple of questions.
-
Can this be accomplished with this pump simply by changing to a VS motor with its own control board?

If so, what is the right model and what other parts would I need to do this?
