I don’t have a large pool. I’m estimating I’m around 8500 to 9000 gallons. It’s an oval shape with some curves. Longest length is 25’, width at 12’, and shallow / deep at 3.5’ and 5’, respectively.
i currently have a Hayward Max-Flo XL pump hooked to this system. And I believe it’s a bit overkill. I’m turning over the pool’s capacity multiple times a day. Given that this motor sounds like it has a bad shaft bearing (it’s yelling at me), I was hoping to down grade the motor and switch out the impeller along with seals, as opposed to replacing the bearing for efforts to become more economical. This pump’s housing is in great shape, the filter is like new, so I want to hold on to the housing.
Could someone help me out with figuring out an good economical solution that could be a suitable motor? I was hoping something like the SPX2705Z1M 3/4 hp motor would be a good fit. Thank you!
