Sta-rite seal plate leaking water after repair

I replaced my single speed motor with the following one last year
Century (A.O. Smith) V-Green EVO 1.65 HP Up Rate V
I also used this kit Sta-Rite Dura-Glas II and Max-E-Glass II Seal Kit GOKIT38.

I noticed there is a small leak from my seal plate, so I got another GOTKIT38 and started the repair process. However, the seal plate leak out water in a large quantity when I prime water in the tank. I have tried reseating the seal plate multiple times without any success. I have done this exercises two or three times before and I have never run into this is problem. I am running out of idea, could you give me some tips. When I took out the seal plate previous, it was always tight, but when I removed the seal plate now, it was still loose. Is the retaining ring or the O-ring not working properly?

I figured out what the problem was, I got the product from Amazon, but it is not the “GO-kit38” as it is shown on the website. It is a “generic sta-rite” replacement kit, which does not quite fit my pump. It was a different package than what I ordered a few years ago from Amazon.

The was was actually leaked out of the motor rather than seal plate that I thought initially.
