sta-rite pump motor

Hi,

In a chat Eric suggested I email this information and questions….

The sta-rite pump motor for my 5’x 3’ deep round redwood hot tub needs to be replaced. I can not read the tag on the motor. The pump impeller is stamped …C105-92P T.

Please advise the correct motor, slinger, seal insert (cone), shaft seal and lubricant.

Also the inside mouth of the diffuser where the impeller sticks through is a little rough. Will this effect performance?

Hello Louis - That part number cross-references to a Sta-Rite Dura-Glas model. Does the schematic below look like your pump?

Yes! My pump looks like the schematic.

Also the inside mouth of the diffuser (stamped C1-216P) where the impeller sticks through is a little rough. Will this effect performance?

I would recommend smoothing out the mouth of the diffuser. I’ve used small grit sandpaper in the past.

The tracking number in the system was incorrect. The package is out for delivery today.
