My spa motor has seized. The Jandy manual says R0445109 would be the replacement for my pump labeled PHPF1.5 (a Plus HP, 1.5HP). The label on my motor (Century Centurion A.O. Smith) is mostly destroyed, but I can recover from it this info: Part 7-193987-24, Type CX, FR=Y56Y, RPM 3450, Volts 230/115, AMPS SF 11.2/22.4, Time=CONT, Encl=DP, Form=KJM, Code=K, Insul Class=B, Amb=50 C, 1081 pool pump mount horiz with vent holes down. Can you recommend the correct replacement motor? Thank you.
Hi mecklenburg,
Thanks for the photos those helped out quite a bit! You will require the Century B2859 Replacement Motor and this Jandy PHPF Shaft Seal. We also have a Video on How to Replace a Pool Pump Motor that you might find helpful when you tackle the replacement.
Thank You
Patrick
Sounds good. I will be calling you to place the order this morning. One final question as I’ve read online about it being critical to match the HP on the pump with the motor. The one you recommend above is 2 HP but the pump I have says 1.5HP. Just doublechecking I have a good match so I get it right the 1st time I attached a picture of the label from the pump the motor was removed from. Can you confirm the recommedation is still good?
Hi Patrick, I posted another piece of information, can you confirm I have the right motor still? Thanks!
Yes this would still be the correct motor, you have a 1.5 HP full rate motor I suggested a 2 HP up rate motor which is the identical motor.
