I have a Shark Vac XL. When I turned it on it surged water to the surface like it usually does before driving off. However, now it just surges water and doesn’t move. I had a replacement drive belt, so I replaced the original one (even though it still looked OK). but that didn’t change anything. It still just sits there surfing water.
Would you have any ideas about what is wrong ?

If a SharkVac XL is powered on for at least 5 to 10 minutes and does not move then the drive tracks are probably not being driven by the motor box even though the impeller is spinning and dispersing water. It would probably be best to take it to a Hayward Authorized Service Center and have it checked out. It is possible that the drive motor in the motor box is not working but that the impeller motor is still working. You can locate a Hayward Authorized Service Center by calling 800-882-0420 or on our website by entering your zip code. Just go to: https://www.hayward-pool.com then select Dealer Locator from the menu then enter your zip code, select radius in miles, select in-ground or above ground, select Product Repair or Service, then select the product category.
Is the pool cleaner for 799 the shark xl because both that one and the cheaper one only say shark . I want the one that is XL with the caddy. WHich one is it?
