I replaced my shaft seal and when I hooked it all back up. I went to turn it on and it would not turn it hums but not turning any suggestions to what I did wrong. Any advice would help it’s a Hayward power flo LX pump.
Thanks
Melissa

Melissa - It’s possible that the impeller was overly tightened. Some of the Power-Flo motors have a capacitor and that could be bad. It could also be wired incorrectly or with the wrong voltage.
I’ll check that thanks again
I checked it the impeller it was hand tight but I turn it on with that off and the shaft ran fine I put it back on and it ran it looked like the impeller tight up to the housing and then the shaft stopped
I thought I did but I didn’t change the spring portion could it be wore out?
Yes, it could. Maybe the spring has lost its tension and it is allowing the impeller to thread further down the shaft.
Do you know where I could get the one I need
How long do you think it would take to get
3-7 days if you select ground as a shipping method.
Ok you have you have any suggestion to make it work till then
I am unaware of a way to make it work. You can add liquid chlorine to the pool and move it around with a pool pole. That will keep the pool from turning green while the pump is down.
Ok I’ll get it ordered thanks again
