Hi, I’m looking at a purchase to replace my Sta Rite Crystal Flow T-240BP-1. The Sta Rite needs a new top valve assembly and I can’t find one. I have aready replace the motor that was frozen with a 1 HP motor. I have heard there is a sand filter that lets you drain the water and the sand from the bottom of the tank so you don’t have to shop vac the sand out. Is this true and do you know who makes it? I am leaning towards the Hayward S270T but only because it seems comparable in size.
Hello JMLangevin - We carry a replacement valve for the Sta-Rite Crystal-Flo T-240BP-1. The replacement valve is part number 261186.
I was unsuccessful in finding a model that drains the sand from the bottom. However, the Hayward S270T would be a good replacement for your current filter.
