Hey guys, I need some advice. This device was installed and not working that I can tell so I removed it (sort of, wires still attached) when I bought my house recently. I was told it was a salt generator. The plastic was broken so I want tor remove or replace it. Do you recoginze it and can you recommend my options?
Thanks
George
Hi George,
Can you post some more photo’s maybe a bit more close up? Also photos the location by the pool Equipment where it was removed? Are there any names or part #'s you can pull off of the system and post back to this thread?
Thank You
Patrick

Thanks for getting back to me Patrick,
I chased the wires down and found they went to a Pure and Clear salt system sensor and controller. I under the company is out of business so some of my issues are moot. What I have to work with for a new system is: 20,000 gal pool, hole below waterlevel where wires run from a sensor on the return pipe (white object at the top of pipe) and wires to the defunct control unit.
What I am asking now is what would be the most affordable replacement system you recommend.
Thanks George
The Pure & Clear was discontinued. None of the new systems would use the existing hole for a sensor. You could plug that hole.
As far as a replacement, we would recommend the PureLine model PL7700. That system will treat up to 40k gallons. It’s always a good idea to oversize the salt systems. The larger systems will do a better job at keeping up with the chlorine demand. Also, the salt cells will last longer because they don’t have to work as hard.
Check out our online installation guide if you’d like to see how this system installed.
