Replacement Pool light

I have a 10 year old aqua lumin II Pool light that burns out fairly quickly for no apparent reason.  No leaks, no fingers touched the bulb.   I am interested in replacing it with an LED.  Do you know of/have a light fixture that can easily replace the Aqua Lumin? Any recommendations?

Thanks,  Jack

Hello Jack,

Unfortunately, the tech from Pentair stated that they do not manufactur an LED replacement for the Aqua Lumin II nichless light fixture. You would need to carve out a niche and install an LED light to achieve what you desire for an LED light option. We do carry the Pentair Aqua Lumin III light options and a list of Pentair AquaLumin III Parts as well.

Thank you,

Thanks.  I have a vinvl liner and would rather not go that route…even if I can.  An LED just seemed like a nice option if I was going to replace it.  Any ideas why the bulbs might burn out so often?    Sometimes a few weeks, sometimes days.   Power seems to be good.  GFI and/or CB don’t pop.  Is this something that might happen as the fixture ages?  Thanks again, Jack

It is very likely that due to the age of the light fixtures, the light bulbs may not last as long. There are a number of different manufacturers of the replacement bulbs out there, so quality and craftsmanship could also play a role. It may not hurt to speak directly with a Pentair representative to see if they may have additional suggestions. Thank you for your question!
