I need a replacement for my failed Hayward Super Pump Model SP3010X15AZ. I am looking to replace this unit with a variable speed pump that would be a direct replacement, without significant changes to the existing 2" piping. Looking for suggestions.
Hi MPatterson,
If you don’t want to mess with your piping then the best bet would be to just replace your Super II single speed motor with a Century 1.65 HP Variable Speed Motor you would also need a Hayward Super II Tune Up Kit. This route would be ideal since you would have no re-plumbing. We have a Video on How to Replace a Pool Pump Motor which you may find helpful.
Thank You
