Trying to install the cell and flow switch on an angled pipe coming from the top of a Hayward 270T sand filter Valve head to the pool return. Issue I have is that the angled paddle in the flow switch would lean back even more if installed with wiring at the top but if I am able to install upside down the paddle would be more upright and would not be affected as much by it’s weight and gravity. Will it matter if I do install upside down.
It isn’t ideal, but everyone’s situation is different. Just be sure that it senses correctly and turns the salt system off if there is no flow. I like to add an additional switch to cut power if there is no flow like this Grid Controls flow switch to be extra safe - especially on setups with variable-speed pumps.
