have an inground pool est gallons about 26,000. The motor got burned out during a backwash when the hose broke and the water went up the cooling vents sparking the motor. It comes on but won’t work. I don’t know if anything happened to the pump or not during this fiasco. I just bought this house and know nothing about the history on the pool other than it was probably put in after the house was built in 2004. If I replace the motor and the pump is bad, I will need to replace the pump and I cannot find it anywhere online. In order to replace the motor and assume the pump is still good, I need to know what kind size of shaft seals to buy to replace the old ones. So my immediate plan is just to replace the motor. BUT could you tell me what kind of shaft seals I will need for this Sta-Rite pump that I am unable to find anywhere online? Here are the specs for my motor and pump.
