Pump model SMF-110 | Upgrade

Hello

My name is Randy Guerra, and I bought a pool pump model SMF-110 Motor Model C48AB45A79 single speed 110/220vac about 2 years ago,  I would like to know if this Pump is able to work at high speed ? based on the pump performance chart, it has two performance metrics, one when it runs at low speed and other metrics when runs in  high speed. I want to know under which conditions this pump might work at high speed.

I need at least 25 GPM and a feet of head around 25-30’, so I figure I need to run the pump to the high speed configuration.

Note: My pool is a 12k galon of water, I have a couple of fountains, a heater pump, a C1200 filter, and I am unable to have enough suction preasure for moving the vacuun through the pool cleaning pipe.

Second question, if the pump is no able to run to a higher feet of head above 10’, what is the best and most cost-effective option to upgrade the pump (for example: chaging the motor only) to achieve a caapcity haigher than 30’ feet of head?

Looking forward to your reply

regards,

Hi Randy,

The pump you have referenced is a single-speed pump and can only run at a single speed which is 1 HP. Our suggestion would be a variable speed pump which can run at a full range of speeds. Our suggestion would be the Waterway 1.4 HP Variable Speed Pump

Thanks Patrick, after an exhaustive research and your support in other posts I placed the order for upgrading the current pump using the “V-Green 1.65 HP Square Flange 48Y Variable Speed Motor” and it is pretty much aligned with your recommendations!!

Thank you

Randy that’s great!!
