I recently purchased a 24’ above ground round pool. It was installed with a 1 1/2 HP two speed pump. When I run my pump on low speed there is no PSI at the gauge on my filter housing. When I turn it on high speed, the gauge reads 8 PSI. Why am I not achieving PSI on low speed?
Good afternoon. There may be a few reasons that can cause this. One is that maybe the gauge needs to be replaced and most commonly it is merely because in the low speed the pump is not generating enough pressure for the gauge to show any pressure. If you are seeing water flow from and to the pool at the low speed then the equipment is functioning correctly.
