Pressure high when filter is inserted and water return pressure is low,

Hi,

My filter pressure is very high when I insert my filer (~28 PSI) and the water return pressure is low, the filter is two months old and has been clean, if I run the system without the filter the pressure is normal <10 PSI and the return pressure is normal.

Hello Joe - We’d be glad to assist you. How does the pool water look? Can you see the bottom of the pool? A cloudy/green pool will cause the filter to fill up very quickly and cause the PSI to climb and the pressure from the returns to drop.

Thanks for the quick respond, Yes currently the pool is cloudy but the issue started before the pool got cloudy.

We recommend soaking the cartridge in a filter cleaner. The filter cleaner will remove oils and minerals that are not removed with normal cleaning methods.
