Pool Sweep not working properly - Pressure relief value broken?

Hi, My pool sweep is not working right now. When I checked on it there was lots of water and bubbles coming from the pressure relief valve. I think this is the reason the pool sweep is no longer working. We have a Polaris F5B…which I think is part 9-100-9002? It looks to me like it’s missing a cap to the unit so I can see into the valve. Is there supposed to be a cap on the pressure relief valve? Let me know.

Thanks!

John

The pressure valve is in the Universal Wall Fitting Quick Disconnect right? Just making sure…because that is where the ‘leak’ seems to be.

Hi John,

Yes the 9-100-9002 is the pressure relief or for a few dollars more I would suggest the Complete Polaris Universal Wall Fitting w/ Pressure Relief Valve the wall fitting assembly includes the pressure relief valve.

Hi Patrick, Thanks!

I need black parts…so what would those two part numbers be? Do they come as a set? My existing Universal wall fitting is ok although it’s 6 years old. I assume they get brittle over time and that’s why you recommend that I also replace that part? Also, I currrently have the quick disconnect/connect unit…and this one doesn’t look compatible with what I currently have?

Thanks!

John

Hi John,

Here are the part #'s for the black parts

Hi Patrick,

Thanks! But you mentioned that I should pay a few dollars more to get the " Complete Polaris Universal Wall Fitting w/ Pressure Relief Valve". I’m trying to figure out what that part is. But I also wonder if I can use that part because I currently have the quick disconnect/connect unit and the one you noted doesn’t look like it would fit my quick conect stuff. Just making sure I get the right parts.

Thanks!

John

Hi John,

Honestly, I am not sure if that complete universal wall fitting would work or not on your set, because of this I would suggest just replacing the Pressure Relief Valve.
