While trying to replace the bearings on my Hayward Power-Flo Matrix SP1592 1hp motor, I managed to break the shaft end bell plate due to the amount of corrosion on the through-bolts and the outer race of the front bearing. I have started by contacting the motor manufacturer A.O. Smith, who send me over to Regal Beloit (as they bought A.O. Smith’s motor division) and Regal sent me over to Hayward who have not yet gotten back to me (when I called, my request was “escalated” to a call back). I have also tried a couple of local pool shops with no luck…
Does ANYone have a source for new or used motor parts? I just can’t believe it’s this difficult to find a piece of cast aluminum!!
