My Pool Pump is leaking. I am no pool expert or mechanical expert. I am thinking that I can replace a pool pump but to diagnose whether the pump motor is bad or it’s a simple gasket or seal that is bad I don’t think I would be able to do. I would need to have a pool pump mechanic come out to diagnose. I am thinking that it’s probably just as easy to replace the pump all together. the pump is probably 10 years old. What do you think Change it out or try to fix it?
Hello JimBeck - If the only issue is a leak, that can be repaired easily by replacing the seals. Do you know the make and model of the pump? If not, you can post a picture of the pump and we can recommend the seals.
