My Hayward RS replacement series pump stopped working 1.5 hp can I replace with a 1 hp Pentair superflow pool pump. Or do I need a1.5 hp Pentair. Pool is 18x36 approximately 30,000gallons
My suggestion would be to stay with the 1.5HP. However, if you want to go with something more energy-efficient, we recommend a variable speed pump. What is the service factor (SF) of your current motor? That rating should be listed on the motor specification label.
