I need to replace an old Hayward 1.5 HP (Model SP1610Z1M) with 1.5" ports and running on 230v. I am interested in an energy efficient pump and looking for recommendations as there are many models to choose from. The pool is 18.5" x 38.5" with an Aqua Genie Skimmer/Single return. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
Hello Bfrost - We’d recommend the Pureline Prime model PL2605. This is a 1.65 HP variable speed pool pump. Variable speed pool pumps are the most energy-efficient option. Check out the video below for more details.
