Pool Light Housing

hi

I been looking for an answer on the different search engines like google yahoo even in youtube.

I have an inground fiberglass swimming pool and it was out of water for at least 3 years (It was dry when I bought the house). So I already did some repairs. But the light looks too old, I am tinking on replace it with a new one; but the housing (the one is attach to the pool) has a gasket, I am affraid it will leak when the water gets there, also affraid if I remove the bolts to replace the gasket all the sand behind may fall in and how work with it??

sorry for the long explanation. Thanks

Hello EdgarO - I wouldn’t worry about sand falling into the pool. A leak will cause more headaches once you fill the pool. Do you know the make and model of the pool light?

It looks like it might be an old American Products light. Check out gasket part number 79202000.
