Reccommendations for replacement filter and diverter valve.
Existing:
30,000 gallon inground pool–
1HP pump, GPM 62
1 1/2 inch plumbing
original filter and diverter valve obsolete–Sta-Rite Swimquip DE 36, tank clamp is failing and cannot be replaced
StaRite DEP36 grid assembly
diverter valve bonze slide valve
Thank you for contacting INYOpools.com. The 1HP single speed pump we’d recommend is PureLine Prime model PL2601. If you want something more energy efficient, we’d recommend the PureLine Prime model PL2605. The PL2605 is a 1.65HP variable speed pump. Both pumps have 2" ports but a 1.5" reducer can be used.
The replacement push-pull option is only available in 2" The part number is 4685-1. There is a 1.5" multiport valve option. The part number is 4685-0.
The entire DEP36 grid assembly is no longer available. The individual grids are available. The DEP36 would require 7 of part number 4687-03B and 4 of part number 4687-03F.
Thanks Rob. My mistake I meant filter replacement. Our plumbing is 1 1/2 throug out the pool house. I was hoping to keep pump and replace filter and diverter with something new. Multiport is ok. Can you combine 2" with 1 1/2 plumbing?
Kinda scary looking. Has worked well since 80"s but way passed the sell by date!
We’d recommend the Pentair FNS36 and the 1.5" multiport valve. Yes, you can combine 1.5" and 2" plumbing.
