Pool Equipment Pad - SMOOTH or BRUSHED Concrete?

I’m pouring a new pool equipment pad next weekend. Does it matter whether the concrete surface is smooth or if I “brush” it?

Hi John, either should be fine as long as the brushed finish doesn’t have any high ridges from the brushing. It is more important for it to be flat (level).
