Pool cleaner with no booster pump

Hoping somewhere can help me - my sister has recently bought a house with a pool.  There’s only the main pump, no booster, but she would like a pool cleaner.  My pool has a booster and I use a Pentair Legend, that’s the only thing I have experience with.  A local pool company is trying to sell her a cleaner that would cost well over a thousand dollars.  So my questions are, 1) will a pool cleaner with no booster pump do a decent job, and 2) is it really necessary to spend that much?

Thanks,

Harry

without a booster pump she’s looking for a robot pool cleaner. I purchased a dolphin Pentair SI about a month ago and am amazed at the stuff the filter picks up. Has substantially cut down on my required time for cleaning (versus manual vacuum). That $750 (from marina pool. Have to call to get price) is best money I’ve spent in a long time. There are two models under mine for $675-$700. I’d go that route as the extra I paid for Bluetooth is pretty useless.
