Polaris pool cleaner broken fitting

I have a Polaris 380 cleaning system that is used in a concrete in ground pool.  When attaching the quick connect from the hose to the fitting on the pool wall, half of the pvc threaded adapter that is screwed into the fitting in the pool wall broke off. So half of the threaded pvc adapter is stuck inside the pool wall. Anyone have any ideas how to get the broken piece out without damaging the threads on the piece in the pool wall?  It’s underwater and is approximately 2 inches long and recessed approximately 1/2 inch inside the fitting. The quick connect on the Polaris hose is undamaged.

Anybody with an idea how I can fix this?

Hello Stephen - We’ve heard of pool owners using a small dremel tool to cut a slit into the plastic that is stuck n the wall. Then you would be able to use a flathead screwdriver to remove it.

That’s a good idea. I’ll give that a try.
