Pentair IntelliFlo 2-VST versus IntelliFlo VS pumps

What is the difference between the IntelliFlo 2-VST (P/N 011055) and the IntelliFlo VS (P/N 011018) pool pumps?

I understand the 2-VST has a rotateable keypad.  But after that the glossy brochures on the Pentair websight are not very informative (and not always consistant).  They appear to use the same impellar and diffuser (the pump curves are the same).  One difference I have noted is a different motor: model 350305S for the 2-VST pump and model 350105S for the VS pump.  After that I do not see any differences.  Is one of these pumps and/or motors preferrable over the other one?

Hi Steve,

In our experience there are very minimal difference between the IntelliFlo 2-VST (P/N 011055) and the IntelliFlo VS (P/N 011018) pool pumps. Pentair came out with a program called Trade Grade which is a line of product that cannot be sold online, this program was established to protect the local brick and mortar retailers. Many times Pentair will make minor modifications to a product and market it with a new name and then put it in the Trade Grade program. Both motors are a Permanent Magnet Motor.

My favorite is the PureLine Prime Variable Speed Pumps that use a Century Motor and start at $599. The PureLine Prime also has models that have Smart Phone Control.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank You

Patrick
