I have a 30k gallon saltwater pool and the 1.0HP pump motor bearings are starting to scream a bit. To upgrade to VS it looks like I need this seal kit:
and I see the 1.65 HP upgrade listed on the parts page and a 1.3 HP upgrade recommended on a thread here. Is there any reason to get the 1.65 or is the 1.3 my goto here?
Going up in Hp you will need to change the impeller and possibly the diffuser to match the HP. If you are happy with the HP you currently have, go with the 1.3hp. If you would like I can send you a quote for whichever one you want or both. Let me know.
