Over Current Alarm!

We have been trying to get 2 pumps to work with the timers. We had them hooked up to one breaker and was getting  an alarm on one pump and it would not start up. If we started them both at the same time it was no problem. But one at a time and the second pump would give us the alarm Over Current. We changed the wireing and hooked each one up to a seperate breaker but the alarm still persists. Any one have any idea what could cause this? Sure could use some advice! Thanks.

Hi CVBGhost,

Could you give us the model #'s of your motors, also can you put a multimeter on each pump and let us know the volt reading and amp reading for both pump.

To be a bit more elaborate, all the water pipes coming from the drains, skimmers and vacum are run into one pipe and branch out to each pump. We think this might not be a good idea and are going to be seperating them soon so that each pump is not trying to pull from the other pump. After we have done this(when the rain here lets us do this. Darn near rain everyday lately!) I will get back to you and give readings and model #'s. Thank you for responding with your reply, Patrick.

Hi CVBGhost,

Did the rain ever let up on you? I would be really interested to see how the repair turned out. Please send some photos too!
