Optimum RPM for Jandy VS Flopro 2.0hp

New Raypak 406A NG ELE Cupro/Nickel heat exchanger with Jandy VS Flopro 2.0hp pump.

What is optimum rpm for 1) heating pool 2) heating/running spa 3) overnight filtration

16,000 gallon pebble tech pool 750 in ground pebble tech spa.

Hi, Wtranter - To determine the optimum RPM for the various applications you’ve listed, you will need to know the Feet of Head of your pool and the desired flow rate for each application. Using the Jandy Flopro Performance Data you can determine the optimum RPM for each application.

Thx!

You really need to know the gallons per minute (gpm), or flow, your pump is putting out. I would consider installing a flow-vis flowmeter somewhere after the filter. No more guessing or calculating.

That is great advice, cbezanson. A flow meter is the easiest way to correctly determine the flow rate/gpm. From there, correctly setting the RPM’s is a breeze.
