older hayward de4820 tank clamp

hi, i have an older style hayward de 4820 filter, with a broken swing bolt on the tank clamp,

i have a long screw in on the bolt side going through the spring and through other side of

the clamp with a washer and nut to tighten.The head of the screw is barely holding the other side because the ends are spreading apart and it is too tight to get a washer in on that side. my question is anybody else have this same problem and what is a better fix for this, besides buying another clamp that is obsolete rarer to find also expensive

You could see about taking your clamp to a machine shop or welder for repair. The only other option is a new DE4820 Filter Clamp.
