I have a Hayward Max Flo XL dual speed pump. Model: K48A89A04, 1.5 HP, 230 volts, SF 1.10, FR 48Y, powered by Century. I would like to just replace motor as the noise is really bad and I cleaned it up but still very loud. I know they don’t make this pump but is there a motor I can buy ? Really need some help please. Total HP says 1.65
Replacing the motor on your Hayward MaxFlo XL pump is doable for anyone who is reasonably handy.
The SQS1102R is an identical replacement for your OEM Hayward motor (click here to see why this 1.0HP Motor is the same as a 1.5HP Motor).
We would recommend getting a new shaft seal and a new seal plate gasket for a leak-free installation. Lubricate the seal plate gasket to help it seal up and last a long time.
