I added 3 small solar panels to my 21 foot round aboveground pool, the pump on my hayward ec40 de filter does not seem to be strong enough for the 3 pannels what is the best pump for me to get so the water will circulate and still work with my filter?
Thanks
Hi sfio2277,
Could you post a few photos of your solar set up, along with a picture of your motor label and a wide shot of your pool equipment? This will allow us to suggest the appropriate pump for your set up.

Thank You
Patrick

Any help on the pump size? I’m putting 2 more of these panels on
Hi Sfio2277,
Thanks for the photos those help a lot! We would suggest the 1.5 HP Hayward Power Flo LX Pump to power your set up with 3 solar panels.
Thank You
Patrick
Patrick would the pl-1502 work?
Yes the PL1502 would work but it looks like the discharge port on your pump is horizontal, the port that goes from the pump to the filter. On the PL1502 the discharge port comes vertical, the discharge port can be rotated so that you have a horizontal discharge. To do this you will need to permanently remove the Pool Pump Mounting Flange Key #15.
No it is quite simple, just unscrewing some screws and rotating.
