I’m trying to find a quality plastic pool step and hoping I can find some help through the community here. All the local pool stores only carry the cheap crap that’s out there, and I can’t find much luck via the Internet either. Most sites don’t offer enough detail about the pool step for me to buy with confidence.
Below is a photo with two ladder steps from my pool. The ladder in the foreground is the aforetioned crap. With insufficient support and rigidity, they flex when a swimmer stands on them, and they break easily. These steps only last a couple of seasons. The ladder in the background has more cross sections and is much better supported, and it is rigid when a user stands on them. This one has outlasted the others by years and is holding strong. I don’t recall where I purchased it.
The quality step has the number 8322 stamped on the underside, if anyone can help me find a source for these steps, or point me to a step of similar quality, I would greatly appreciate it.
Barry
P.S. - stainless steel steps are a non-starter for this salt pool.
