I went to replace the o rings on a three way Jandy value and forgot to notice where the Inlet was positioned on each value. I have two values. The one value comes from the motor and connects to the main drain and to the skimmers. The other value is connected to the skimmers (deep and shallow).
Would you know where I should position the inlet portion of the value?
Hello Jimmie - Unfortunately the inlet could be any port on that valve. It’s different on every pool. I would suggest testing each position to see what port is controlling what skimmer or main drain.
Thanks, I guess I’ll find out at spring time since I closed the pool for the winter.
I’m thinking, the inlet should be position in such a way that when I turned the value handle, one side will turn off the main drain and the other side will turn off the piping going to the skimmers. The same with the other value, the two off positions should be position to turn off both skimmers.
I appreciate your help. I can attached a pic if you think that will help.
Pictures could help. Feel free to attach photos if you like and we can see if it helps. The testing of each of the valve positions will be the best way to be 100% certain.
