I have a Jandy Pool Pump (Model #JHP1.5), which is about 14 years old. Last summer it started to make noise sounding a bit like a faulty or impaired impellor - though it need still move water through the system. Not sure if the flow was less or not. I’m assuming the problem is with the pump, but maybe it could be the motor instead? The motor is a Century Centurion. How long to pool pumps typically last? Do folks typically replace both the pump and motor together after many years or should I replace the pump or motor first to try and fix the problem?
