I am looking to buy a new filter for my inground pool it is a 20 by 40 equal radius kidney shaped pool I am pretty sure it 35,000 gallon. Does the filter come 100% complete with everything inside and out. How long will it take to arrive. I am also lookin at the Raypak Digital Propane Heater part number 009975. The 266,000 btu. Will that be able to heat my pool.
My phone number is 610-914-3640. My name is Mark. I live in PA. Thank You.
Hi Mark,
For a 35,000 gallon pool the pump should be sized to turn your pool over in 8 hours which would be a pump that is outputting 72 Gallons Per Minute (GPM).
The Jacuzzi Earthworks EW36 can handle a flow of exactly 72 GPM I always like to go larger on the filter because if the pump is outputtting more than the filter can handle then you put more stress on your pump resulting in it failing prematurely, we also see the internal components of the filter getting damaged. Another benefit of a larger filter is that you have less time between cleanings as the larger filter can filter out more debris.
For your pool I would suggest the 48 Sq. Ft. Earthworks EW48 Filter 96 GPM or even the 60 Sq. Ft. Earthworks EW60 Filter 120 GPM as it is only $50 more than the 48 Sq. Ft.
We do have all of these Jacuzzi Earthworks Filters in stock.
For heaters we normally suggest sizing a heater so it can raise your pool water at least 1 degree per hour a 266,000 BTU Raypak Heater will heat your pool 3/4 degree per hour. If your gas line is large enough I would suggest the Raypak 336,00 BTU Heater as it will give the 1 degree temperature raise per hour.
Below is a chart showing the gas size requirements for the various BTU heaters.

Thank You
Patrick
