Hi, i’m about to install an above ground or semi inground pool and Im considering investing in a variable speed pump. I noticed there are no variable speed motors listed in the above ground category. I know they are more expensive and are self priming but is there any reason I cant or shouldnt use one on an above ground pool?
Hello Dcelectric - There is no reason you can use an appropriately sized inground pool pump on an above ground pool. We have a great deal on a 1.65Hp VS pump. It’s the Pureline Prime model PL2605. This is a 230v pump.
If you need a 115v pump, we recommend the Hayward Super Pump VS model SP26115VSP.
Great, thank you for the info!!
You’re welcome. Good luck!
