I have to replace an inground halogen pool light. It is an AquaLumin. The only reference to a part number is “788600000 THRU 78861300”, as seen on what is left of the label. The mount to the pool wall looks very similar, if not exact, to what is seen here: Pentair Wall Mounting Bracket Assembly AQL III - 619547 - INYOPools.com. I would like to replace this with a color changing LED with the least amount of effort. Could you make a suggestion? Thank you.
Unfortunately, the only replacement for your light would be this same AquaLumin Light there is not a LED version of your light or a LED replacement bulb that will fit into your light fixture. We do carry Colored Lens’s for the Aqualumin which may be an option for you. Finally if you do have the original AquaLumin Light then you will require the AquaLumin Retrofit Kit when installing an Aqualumin III light.
Hello, I would like to replace my pool light with an led color changing bulb. The information I can find states that the fixture is American Products Series 77XXX and the bulb is 100-Watt 120-Volt Halogen screw base T-4. Is this possible? Thank you for your help.
Hello Elisa404 - Unfortunately there is not an LED bulb available that will replace your T4 halogen bulb. The only bulb that we have is the standard white 100w 120v T4 bulb.
I have a Pentair and I want to buy an led color changing light. Which would be the one I need? Series number 784xxxxx, 788xxxxx, 789xxxxx. 1/2" bulb, R-40, 120v, and 500 w.
Hello ChrisAgu - It looks like you have a Pentair Amerlite. If you are just looking to replace the bulb, we have a couple options. The new PureColors 120V RF LED bulb comes with a remote control. The model number is PL5819. The remote makes it very simple to turn off/on, switch colors and control the light shows. The other option is the PureColors LED light without remote control. This LED bulb, model PL5809, would be controlled by your existing light switch. You would toggle the light switch to change the colors and light shows.
We recommend replacing the light gasket if you replace the bulb. The Amerlite gasket is part number 3525-07.
We have the complete light fixtures available if you want to go that route. We have options for cord length and control. You can view the different fixture options on our PureLine PureColors light page.
I have 2 Hayward (I think ?) SP-590SL fittings (photo attached), in the pool and the spa. They are 12V, and list a R20 bulb. I’d like to change them both for LED bulbs, preferably multi-color changing but soft white otherwise. What bulbs and gaskets will I requirerequire ?
Are both lights the same size? Sometimes you have a small light in the spa and a larger light in the pool. If both lights are the smaller SP-590SL model then you will need two of the PureLine PureColors 12V LED Color Chaning Bulbs.
No worries at all. Most likely you will need the PL5808 for the Pool and the PL5816 for the Spa and I would suggest replacing the pool light gasket with the PL5850 gasket all of these items can be found on our PureLine PureColors Light Bulb Page I would also suggest replacing your spa light gasket with this Hayward Spa Light Gasket
Hi, active TFP member here and in the process of resurfacing our pool. I would like to replace the existing Spa and Pool lights with 12V LED color changing and considering the PureLine series. I have attached images of the Spa and Pool niche hoping to find a compatible LED light fixtures with at least 30’ cable on each.
We love TFP such a great community and resource for pool owners! Yes the PureLine PureColors LED Lights will fit the American Products Light Niche you have posted. We really like the PureColors Lights as the LED Bulb is replaceable if it ever goes bad, unlike the Hayward, Jandy and Pentair Lights.
Thank you Patrick, much appreciated. The farthest niche is about 14-15’ away from the junction box. I didn’t see any pureline purecolors fixture with 30’ cable from the list. Anyway, Order # 806137 is on its way and hopefully it get here soon before the plaster.
Once again, thank you for the help and for all your outstanding contributions to the TFP community. Been following your posts and learning from it.
Well, nowadays with new light technologies, LED color changing pool lights for swimming pools are becoming more popular. That is why last week I had also installed colored changing LED lightings by hiring the local electricians in Chester Springs PA because these lights are safe and I will not only be able to see around our pool, but I am swimming as well.
As you said that you want to replace this with a color changing LED with the least amount of effort, then it is best that you should consult your local electricians regarding this installation.
