In-Ground Pool Light questions (new home/pool owner) - Hayward

Dear all.

I’m looking to replace the light bulb in my Hayward light for my inground pool.  I recently purchased this house with the pool, I don’t have any manuals.  I’m not sure the model # of my light;  I did pull the unit out to confirm part #'s and bulb, but I couldn’t confirm the actual model # of the entire unit.  I was able to disassemble and reinstall the unit no problem.  Luckily my old gasket is still in good shape.

Can you help me confirm the correct lens gasket (Current part #?) and light bulb for my light?  here’s the info I do have:

Lens  = SP 580 Z1 (with an “LG” in a box after Z1)
Lens Gasket = SP 540 Z2
Face Rim = SP 580 A

None of the parts have an “X” in the part # molded into parts.  The hayward manuals have part #'s that all have “X’s”.

The burnt out bulb that was in the unit was  a 500 W / 130 V (not sure if this was the correct bulb).

Thanks in advance!!!

Hi BJFeldman78,

Thank You for all the information that is most helpful. You would require this Hayward SPX540Z2 Lens Gasket if you need the replacement bulb then you need this 130V 500W Pool Bulb you can also upgrade to the PureColors LED Pool Bulb which lasts 10 x’s longer than the standard bulb, cost 90% less to operate and has 16 color shows.

Thank You

Patrick
