I just purchased the Pure line salt cell PL7106 to replace my Swimpure Plus T-cell 15. Upon opening the box I could see the cell was used/returned. I installed it regardless to check it’s condition and it is not reading salt level correctly. I have had my salt level checked twice at my pool store and the salt level is 3300, while the Pure line cell reads 4900/5100 which shuts down the chlorinator. I have tried calibrating the unit several times yet the level never drops below 4900. Any suggestions before I return the Pure line salt cell?
We are sorry to hear about that. Let me ask a couple of questions: Do you have an automation system, and do you have an alternate method of testing the salt level in the pool? Also, please double-check the settings to be sure it is set to the correct cell type.
No, I do not have an automation system. My local pool store used two methods to check the salt level and yes, it is on the correct cell setting. The cell I just received from InyoPool will not read the correct salt level and shuts the system off. As I mentioned the cell was used when I received it so I’m not sure why it was returned.
I want to start the return process ASAP since you were notified the day I received it that it was not working correctly. I need my refund ASAP so I can buy another cell before the pool gets ruined for the season. Thank you
