I have a Hayward 1 HP Super Pump and it is really loud when it starts, then quiets down, then loud – I have tapped it but no differences, also seem very hot.
I am looking to replace it, but troubled determine the correct replacement model from an AO to Century #. Also, considering a variable speed, but wondering if it is worth the extra money. The 1 HP has seemed very sufficient in terms of power/suction.
The model # is C48K2N143B1 and SN is 23312FM. wired as 115 volts, .75 KW Amp 15/7.5
What is the correct new pump model and should I upgrade to variable speed. What else is needed new propeller / seals?
I appreciate the advise on worth it or not on variable speed.
