I have just purchased a holiday home with a 30k gal pool. Chemical treatment of the pool is monitored and controlled manually.
I am looking for a cost effective fully automated system capable of monitoring and chemical dosing (Chlorination and Ph reduction) when I am not in place. I would also like to monitor the condition of the pool, when I am away.
I have read about the haywrd solution:
aqua plus+ Sence and dispence chemistry management+ aqua connect. is this a complete solution? what else do I need to consider? and what will be the cost for the whole system?
Hello Levent - The Hayward AquaPlus is a great option for automation and web control. A fully automated system, like the one you described, would require the following items.
AquaPlus Base System PL-PLUS. This includes the control box and 40k salt cell. It can control 4 high voltage relays.
Thankyou for the quick responce! I have a few more questions before I make up my mind
How does the Chemistry kit work? Timer dosage or proportional dosage?
The Chem kit quoted is a Ph/ ORP sence and an ORP dispence. Meaning, it sences the levels of Ph and ORP and is capable of swithing on the Chlorinator (in ORP dispence mode) when the ORP reading is lower than the programmed parameter, How i is the Ph level kept in chech by this kit (Ph dispence)? or is there an other model which can meet this requirement?
I presume the stenner pump is steered by the CHEM KIT (swiched on/ off) in which case I coud use any other prestaltic pump for dosage. Am I correct in my presumption?
Are the following sensors included in the qouted package, Ph, ORP, flow, Temp?
The chemistry kit works by monitoring the chemical levels of the pool and making adjustments accordingly. For example, the peristaltic pump (any peristaltic pump will work) will kick in and administer muriatic acid if the pH dips below the set parameter. The same will happen if the ORP level drops. The system will increase the chlorine output of the salt system.
