Energy Star Pool Pump Replacement

I have a Hayward Superpump I want to replace for a below ground 2,300 gallon pool with an EnergyStar complient pump that will qualify for the Duke Energy rebate they are offering in my region. I’m not seeing energy star ratings on any of the pumps I’ve looked at so far and add to that I need a 115V unit so I don’t have to have an electrictian in to pull 220.

My needs are modest and my existing pump is on it’s last legs having just replaced the SuperPump motor because water was leaking into the old Hayward motor and there is a small leak between the union of the pump and the motor likely reqiring other component replacements and at this point would prefer to just replace the entire unit if I can get an EnergyStar rated one. Local installers want 1,200 plus for the pump and the work negating benefit of rebate.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Hi John,

I would suggest the Hayward Super Pump 115V Variable Speed Pump. This pump is Energy Star Rated and is one of the only variable speed pool pumps that can be wired 115V. The other nice thing is that this pump will be a drop-in replacement for your current Super Pump meaning no re-plumbing. If you have any questions, let us know.

Thank You

Patrick
