Double checking replacement motor

Hi InyoPools -

What a great website! I have an old AO Smith/Hayward Pump, Model # K48N2N106A3. I just wanted to confirm before ordering that this can be replaced with the Century Electric ust1252 pump offered through your website.

Hi Phdeanuci,

Thanks so much for the kind words! Yes if you have a K48N2N106A3 motor then this UST1252 Replacement Motor would be the correct replacement motor for you. We also have a Video On How to Replace a Pool Pump Motor which may be helpful for your project. Finally we would suggest a seal kit when replacing your motor but we would need to know the make and model of your pump to determine the correct seal kit, popular models are the Hayward Super Pump, Hayward Super II, Jacuzzi Magnum, etc…

Hi Patrick -

Thanks for the reply. The pump that I have has the Blue Haven branding on it, but I am confident that it is a Hayward pump. The owner’s guide that I inhertited from the previous homeowner has SP3105, SP3107, SP3110, SP3115, SP3120 and SP3125 model prefixes. While I can’t match the exact model number because these all have BlueHaven, my guess is that these likely match the Hayward Super II pump. Can you provide me with the seal kit information so that I can order that too?

Thanks in advance,

Dean

Hi Dean,

Yes you are correct Hayward did do a private label for Blue Haven and the pump is the same as the Hayward Super II, so you will require this Hayward Super II Seal Kit The one thing you will want to check on your motor label is your RPM’s as I know a lot of the Blue Haven Motors were dual speed. If your RPM is listed at 3450 then the motor I suggested in the original post is correct (UST1252). If the RPM is listed as 3450/1725 then you will need this 2.5 HP Dual Speed Blue Haven Replacement Motor. Let me know how the project turns out and if you have any questions please let me know.
