Diving board size

I am looking for pros and cons of a 6 ft or 8 ft diving board. Looking at the frontier 2. The pool is 8.5 deep, and 16x38

Hi Megankm,

The main thing to consider when purchasing a 6’ vs. 8’ diving board is safety, if you get too long of a board, on a small pool you run the risk of being able to dive into the shallow end. What you will need to do is determine what “Pool Type” you have, you do this by taking a series of measurements to come up with your “Pool Type”. Once you figure out your “Pool Type” then you can determine the largest sized diving board which can go onto your pool. Here is the Diving Board Guide to Determine Your Pool Type. Please let us know if you have any questions.

Thank You
