I ordered a new motor for my anthony pool. I am in the process of removing the old motor. I removed the impeller and diffuser. I am down to the seal plate and am having difficulty removing it from the shaft. Its held in place by what appears to be a spring loaded seat . Can you explain how to remove this I would like to send a photo if possible.How can I do this. Its a Centurion Magnatek motor. We have a new one on order but the seal plate wll not come off the old one.

I would try using a 2" x 4" wood block and hammer to try and knock the seal plate loose. A lot of times you can get calcium build up that makes the seal plate difficult to remove, you may want to try WD40 to try and loosen it up. If you could post some pictures to this thread, that would be great.
