DETERMINE TYPE OF SUPER PUMP

Hello,

I recently purchased a replacement motor from you for my 1HP Hayward Super Pump, since I’m at

I am going to replace everything, ie: impeller, diffuser, and gaskets.

However, the nameplate /tag is totally worn off. I’m not sure which replacement parts diffuser, etc for my pump. Most are standard, except the impeller and diffuser.

Hi Sparky,

For us to suggest the proper parts could you send a photo of a wide shot of your complete pool pump to show the pipes going in and out of the pump? As well as close-up shot of the motor label showing the amps, HP, SF, Volts, etc… Once we get this photo we can make the proper recommendation for the parts.

Can I purchase the “Generic Super Pump™ Style Drive Train” separately, without the

kit?

That link brings me back to the kit, not just the drive train. Originally I was going to change out the bearings of

the original pump but opted to buy a replacement motor from INYOPools thus the other parts already purchased.

Hi sparky,

No that kit is not absolutely necessary, you would only need it if you had damage to your impeller which normally is not the case. I would however always suggest one of these Hayward Super Pump Seal Kits when replacing your motor.
